Last week some fans created an online petition asking Nintendo to remove the region lock from their consoles. This way it would be possible to run games either japanese, american or european games at any console, no mattering its factory region.
But Nintendo said they had no plans to remove the lock.
"With this lock Nintendo can include parental controls and ensure compatibility with the age rating systems in each region." - Was the justification.
