Nintendo released a new update for the 3DS which increases the system stability and add the function called Street Pass Relay.
This new feature works on the Nintendo Zones. When you pass throug a Nintendo Zone your 3DS will receive information from the 3DS of the last people that passed through there, even if he/her isn't there anymore.
